Montreal Fashion Week

We're here! That's our feet on the runway to prove it.


We made our debut on Tuesday morning at the opening news conference, which was an opportunity for the press to hear from the sponsors and big-whig organizers. For us, it was more of a chance to eat lots of free croissants (Helena) and try not to pass out whilst breaking in a new pair of super tight Cheap Monday raw denim skinny jeans (me).

Later that day, we headed back for the first set of fashion shows and parties, and even managed to score some swag. Here's a pic from the press cocktail:


So far, we've seen shows by Yves Jean Lacasse, Marie Saint Pierre, Dinh Ba Design, Genux, Samuel Dong, Simon Chang and Zen B. Our faves are Marie Saint Pierre (loved the bright red tights!) and Genux (beautiful cocktail dresses--see below).


It all ends tonight, so we're going to catch as many shows as we can and shamelessly try to score some more free stuff on our way out. I have it on good authority that Helena is planning on sporting her new fur hat, so I foresee some Absolutely Fabulous shenanigans ensuing from the Youth League girls this evening. Stay tuned!
